At seven I knew it did not feel right. When I spoke up, I was hushed. At twelve I thought it was my fault, so I kept quiet and tried to drink the pain away. At eighteen he was my first date, mom approved so I trusted him but, neither of us realized he was a wolf until it was too late. Thanks to a family member paying attention, taking notice of my sinking into a dark hole, I finally talked. I no longer blamed myself. Now years later, I am here sharing my story in hope of helping someone else spread their wings. I want you to know that “you too can survive through love.” - Emerald
