It was my first year of high school and I found myself sitting on a bench as I watched the comings and goings of the boy I was crushing on. He was gorgeous! But, as fate would have it, he was a senior and had no thoughts of me. Eventually, I made my way to the “friend” zone. By then, I had developed a crush on his friend and gone to the prom with him. He turned out to be more fun and to this day I still consider him a good friend.

My life is like a sea boat.

Never knowing where it is going.

Yet, it floats.

It waits for someone

To hold

This mysterious inner cage of mine.

Yet, no one comes for me.

To make my life free.

Make it easy.

They just rub it a little ‘til it becomes hard, brittle.

This is the status of my sweet, yet lonely life.
